Nancy Pelosi Hilariously Claims ‘Democrats Are For Securing Our Borders’

Published

House minority leader Nancy Pelosi, 78, outrageously claimed that “Democrats are for securing our borders” as her party tries to shift toward a moderate image ahead of the midterm elections.

Still reeling from the political fallout of their evidence-free failed attack on Brett Kavanaugh, Democrats are trying to pretend that they still have some semblance of common-sense values and policy ideas.

“On immigration, Democrats are for securing our borders, protecting Dreamers, opposing the Trump Administration’s family separation policy and passing bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform,” Pelosi stated.

“As President Reagan said in his last speech as President, ‘Thanks to each wave of new arrivals to this land of opportunity, we’re a nation forever young, forever bursting with energy and new ideas, and always on the cutting edge, always leading the world to the next frontier. This quality is vital to our future as a nation. If we ever closed the door to new Americans, our leadership in the world would soon be lost,” Pelosi said.

The Democrats have always been opposed to President Trump’s wall, but it seems that President Trump now has enough leverage to get his own party onboard with funding the easy-to-fund construction project in their next budget, which will no doubt have tons of spending in it for things that are much less important than President Trump’s border wall.

Big League Politics reported:

A Republican congressman will introduce a bill this week to fully fund a wall at the southern border, according to a Tuesday report.

“House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy will introduce a bill this week that will fully fund President Donald Trump’s planned wall along the U.S. border with Mexico, thereby setting the midterm elections up as a referendum on immigration policy,” the report said.

“First, McCarthy, his office confirmed to Breitbart News, will introduce a bill this week that includes the full funding for the border wall–about $23.4 billion more than what has already gone to the wall effort–as well as several other enforcement measures that have already passed the House of Representatives,” the report continued.

Republicans appear to finally be working in sync to achieve Trump’s main campaign promise: controlling illegal immigration into the United States. It is truly a breath of fresh air to the American people.

“For decades, America’s inability to secure our borders and stop illegal immigration has encouraged millions to undertake a dangerous journey to come here in violation of our laws and created a huge loophole to the legal channels to the immigration process where America welcomes immigrants to our country,” McCarthy told Breitbart. “President Trump’s election was a wakeup call to Washington. The American people want us to build the wall and enforce the law. Maintaining strong borders is one of the basic responsibilities of any nation. For too long, America has failed in this responsibility.”

According to the report, the bill will exclusively address a wall and border security. There will be no stipulations about DACA, President Barack H. Obama’s amnesty order for illegal children who came to America with their adult parents.

“McCarthy’s bill introduction comes as he travels Wednesday to the U.S. border with Mexico, where the wall will be built, to meet with Border Patrol agents,” the report said. “While on the border, McCarthy will receive an operations and threat briefing from Border Patrol and law enforcement officials, speaking directly with the men and women who on a daily basis on behalf of the United States confront illegal immigration, drug smuggling, human trafficking, and weapons trafficking.”

As noted in the report, the bill would face grim prospects in the Senate, controlled by only a 51-49 margin by Republicans. Thus, it is imperative that Republicans not only keep, but grow their seat count in the Senate during the 2018 midterms elections.

SUV Carrying 27 People Crashes with Semi Truck Near Mexican Border, At Least 15 Killed

A tragedy that could’ve been avoided.

A Tuesday morning crash involving an SUV and a semi truck has killed at least 15 people.

The crash occurred near Holtville, California, a town close to both the Arizona border and the US-Mexico border. The SUV, according to the New York Times, pulled into the path of the semi at an intersection.

14 of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while another died at the hospital. At least six other victims are currently receiving treatment at the hospital as well.

It is believed that 27 passengers were packed inside the SUV, which had a maximum legal capacity of seven to eight people. Because of this and the crash’s proximity to the US-Mexico border, it is probable that the passengers were illegal immigrants being smuggled into the United States.

The California Highway Patrol has not officially confirmed their immigration status because it is still under investigation, but Dr. Adolphe Edward of the El Centro Regional Medical Center said he believes the victims to be illegal aliens.

Big League Politics is closely following the illegal immigration crisis that’s been brewing since Joe Biden’s assumption of the White House. We recently reported on how the Border Patrol expects 13,000 illegal alien minors to arrive at the US-Mexico border in just the month of May. We also reported on Biden’s DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas claiming that he didn’t think the situation at the border constitutes a crisis:

Another reporter asked Mayorkas if he thought there was a crisis at the border, to which he replied: “I think that the answer is no. I think there is a challenge at the border that we are managing, and we have our resources dedicated to managing it.” Despite the reporter’s pushback on his claim, Mayorkas reiterated that his team was working “around the clock” to address the issues confronting the DHS and that the level of illegal immigrants coming across the border constitutes a challenge, not a crisis.

Illegal immigration is harmful to both the nation and the migrants. Tuesday’s accident near the border was a tragedy that could’ve been avoided.
