NATO To Israel: You Are On Your Own

NATO is not prepared to defend non-member state Israel if Iran attacks.

The Associated Press reports: “NATO’s secretary-general says the alliance wouldn’t come to Israel’s defense in case of attack by arch enemy Iran.
Jens Stoltenberg told the magazine Der Spiegel in comments published Saturday that Israel is a partner, but not a member and that NATO’s “security guarantee” doesn’t apply to Israel. Stoltenberg says NATO isn’t involved in Mideast peace efforts or in conflicts in the region.”

Neoconservatives who claim to support Israel ceaselessly attacked President Donald Trump during the campaign, and after, for his anti-NATO rhetoric. Trump feels that NATO should have to pay for U.S. defense services, and that other NATO countries are ripping off the United States.

The national security establishment, stalwart defenders of globalism and binding trans-national treaties, reported on Trump’s worldview as though it was nothing less than a repudiation of the entire world order.

Now we know that if Israel gets attacked, NATO will not lift a finger to help.
