A fake news giant is giving a pass to a preferred political candidate for making a “white supremacist” hand gesture just days after attempting to ruin the life of a U.S. Coast Guard member for making the same gesture during a live segment.
“Ocasio-Cortez caught doing white power sign?” Paul Joseph Watson wrote on Twitter.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is running for Congress in New York’s 14th congressional district.
On Saturday, NBC news attempted thrust a U.S. Serviceman and member of the Hurricane Florence response team into the national media spotlight for making the same hand gesture on live television.
“A member of a U.S. Coast Guard team responding to Tropical Storm Florence in South Carolina appeared to flash a white power hand gesture in the background as a captain was being interviewed Friday by MSNBC,” NBC reported. “The man has since been removed from the Florence response operations and the incident is under investigation, said Coast Guard Lt. J.B. Zorn.”
Predictably, NBC has failed to Ocasio-Cortez to the same standard.
The “OK” gesture as a symbol of “white supremacy” started on 4chan’s /pol board, where users of the site planned to prove the gullibility of the mainstream press by injecting the narrative that the gesture had been co-opted by neo-Nazis into the mainstream. Their plan worked to perfection, and though the mainstream press is aware that it is the butt of the joke, it ran with with the joke anyway – at least when the accused “white supremacist” is not a Democrat candidate for Congress.
NBC prefers to bash military members who risk their lives in protection of this fine nation rather than upper-middle class millennial socialists like Ocasio-Cortez who will surely seek to destroy it when elected to office.
