NICE VETO, SIR: President Trump Goes Off On Congress For Their ‘Vote Against Reality’

President Donald Trump made it clear in the Oval Office Friday that the border Wall debate is really a competition between Americans who live in reality, and congresspeople and media pundits who live in a 2-D political narrative that does not overlap with reality.
Trump vetoed Congress’ bill to block his national emergency to build the Wall. He called his emergency an “action to defend our national sovereignty and stop criminal cartels.”
Trump referred to the “Angel parents, very important people to me and to many other people…They’ve been through a lot,” who were present at the signing.

“It is definitely a national emergency,” Trump said of our border crisis. “Rarely have we had such a national emergency.”
“I have a duty to veto it,” President Trump said, saying that he is proud of most House Republicans for voting with him, and noting that numerous Republican senators also bravely stood for the Wall. Trump called Congress’ action “a vote against reality.”
“It’s an invasion,” President Trump said of the illegal immigrant crime pouring over our border, again slamming “people who aren’t living in reality.”
Attorney general William Barr said that the “National Emergencies Act directly authorizes” President Trump to make the decisive response of building the Wall, and called the border crisis “exactly the kind of emergency” that presidents must address. Barr referred to the many national emergencies already on the book — 31 were still active when Trump declared his. “What you’ve done from a legal standpoint is solidly grounded in law,” Barr stated.
A representative of the American sheriffs said the sheriffs stand with President Trump in his effort to build the Wall to secure our Country.

Merrick Garland Suggests that Getting Rid of Lawsuit Protections is Not a Second Amendment Violation
Garland as AG will be a disaster for the right to bear arms.

If Merrick Garland is nominated as Attorney General, the Second Amendment is in big trouble.
Based on his comments at a Senate hearing on February 22, 2021, Garland made a suggestion that the repeal of lawsuit protections for gun manufacturers is not unconstitutional.Â
AWR Hawkins of Breitbart News reminded his readers that President Joe Biden campaigned on a platform of repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), which shielded lawful gun manufacturers from lawsuits.
In a previous Breitbart News report, Biden spoke at an MSNBC forum in 2019 alongside gun control organizations such as March for Our Lives where he expressed his support for gun manufacturers to be subject to lawsuits.
At the speech, Biden suggested that the PLCC be repealed. He declared, âNo other outfit in history has gotten this kind of protectionâ and asserted that the legal actions would bring about âchange overnight.â
In a subsequent occasion on February 7, 2020, Breitbart News covered Bidenâs remarks to a New Hampshire crowd, in which he stated that it was a âmistakeâ to shield firearms manufacturers from lawsuits. He continued, âThe first thing Iâm going to do as president is work to get rid of that.âÂ
Later that month, Breitbart News recalled how Biden called out gun manufacturers at a South Carolina rally and boasted, âIâm going to take you down.â
According to a report by The Salt Lake Tribune, Utah Senator Mike Lee asked Garland about his views on removing protections for gun manufacturers. Garland responded, âI have not thought myself deeply about this. I donât think it raises a Second Amendment issue.â
When he was questioned if he is in favor of Bidenâs plans to ban so-called âassault weaponsâ, Garland responded, âWhere there is room under the law for the presidentâs policies to be pursued, then I think the president is entitled to pursue them.â
Bidenâs track record as a gun control proponent is well-documented. From his support of gun-free zones at schools to the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, Biden is Gun Control Inc.âs guy. With Democrats in control of the House and the Senate, there will most certainly be attempts to ram gun control down our throats. If they canât beat us legislatively, they will most certainly use the courts to undermine the Second Amendment. Pro-gun organizations should be ready to lawyer up and use whatever means possible to keep courts from destroying our rights.
