Non-Citizen Who Overstayed his Visa Gets Child Porn Charges

Published

on

County Examiner reported on an investigation that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE)’s Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force conducted, which ultimately led to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Houston acquiring a guilty plea from a Mexican man who received and possessed child pornography.

This raises questions about Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia and her desire to abolish ICE.

Houston Talk Radio host Ken Webster posted a video on June 24, 2019 of the congresswoman marching down Houston’s PRIDE parade holding a banner that read “Abolish ICE”. Webster noted that “ICE is an organization that stops human trafficking and captures people guilty of heinous crimes, including child pornographers, rapists and murderers, but Sylvia would apparently prefer those people walk free, as she’s openly advocating to abolish the institution that arrests a countless number of criminals every year.”

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Houston also sent out a similar press release announcing the guilty plea and sentencing of the illegal alien on child porn charges.

“A 54-year-old Mexican man who illegally remained in the United States after his temporary visa had expired was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison Tuesday for receiving and possessing child pornography.

This investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Alberto Bernal Garcia, who illegally resided in Houston, Texas, pleaded guilty to the criminal charges April 16. He was sentenced to 10 years each for the receipt and possession convictions, respectively. These sentences will run concurrently.

Garcia legally entered the United States from Mexico on a temporary visa in 1997. However, he overstayed that visa.  Following his release from federal prison, he is expected to face removal proceedings.”

Congresswoman Garcia’s seat in the 29th Congressional District is quite safe, but her radical views on open borders can be exploited by Texas GOP activists who want to turn immigration into the number #1 political issue in the Lone Star state. After all, GOP voters have immigration as their top priority heading into the 2020 elections.

Garcia’s views on immigration demonstrate the ongoing radicalization of the modern-day Democratic Party.

Britain Kicks the Bums Out by Unveiling New Skill-Based Immigration System

Published

on

On Wednesday, February 19, 2020, the United Kingdom announced a new change in immigration policy that would bar unskilled immigrants from entering the country.

Under new requirements, migrants must be able to speak English and hold a job.

According to Home Secretary Priti Patel, the new policy will make it easier for “the brightest and the best from around the world” to enter the country, declaring it a “historic moment for the whole country.”

This plan will go into effect on January 1, 2021, which intends to reduce the UK’s reliance on low-skilled” migrants and incentivize companies to develop technology and automation.

It encourages firms to hire foreigners “with greatest talents,” such as “scientists, engineers, academics and other highly-skilled workers,” according to the government’s document marketing this policy.

“We need to shift the focus of our economy away from a reliance on cheap labor from Europe and instead concentrate on investment in technology and automation,” the Home Office announced.

Patel claimed in a number of TV and radio interviews Wednesday that businesses need to concentrate on hiring “economically inactive” British-born adults between the ages of 16 and 64, rather than importing immigrants.

According to a report from The Guardian, the Home secretary called on firms to focus their resources on British natives and “up their skills and make their skills relevant.”

The immigration policy will revamp current rules and establish a “points-based” system, where migrants must meet certain requirements which include employment and language proficiency before they can stay in the U.K for longer periods time, according to the government’s official policy paper.

Migrants must be able to speak English, while also proving they have a job offer from a known employer with a minimum 25,600 pound (roughly $33,000) salary.

Before Brexit took place, European Union citizens were allowed to freely move between countries, but under the U.K.’s new policy, that freedom of movement would be eliminated.

A substantial portion of Britain’s foreign workforce comes from Eastern Europe and they are generally involved in the food processing, hospitality, construction, kitchen work and elderly care sectors. At least 3.2 million European Union residents already living in the U.K. would still be allowed to stay and work.

Johnson is expected to introduce this bill next month.
