Ocasio-Cortez: Trump Impeachment ‘No-Brainer’

If anyone is familiar with “no-brainers,” it is New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. After all, she believes in socialism, a prime indicator of having no brain.
Ocasio-Cortez ramped up her anti-Trump rhetoric, calling for his impeachment before she is even elected to Congress.
“I mean, yeah. To me, it’s a no-brainer,” she said on Jorge Ramos’ Facebook Watch show when asked about impeachment.
“Well, I believe that he has violated the law. Violated potentially many laws, whether it’s the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution because he keeps his businesses open that foreign actors kind of participate in financial transactions with. Whether it’s what we are seeing with potentially illegal buyouts of campaign, you know, FEC violations of women that he is trying to silence,” she continued.
Remember, Ocasio-Cortez has no legal background. Her professional resumé includes bartending and “community organizing.” One would not seek legal advice from Ocasio-Cortez for the same reason that one would not seek medical advice from a grocer. She is not even a legal novice, never mind an expert. But you have to give her credit for finally memorizing her talking points, which she has struggled with in the past.
Ocasio-Cortez griped that President William J. Clinton was impeached, but that Trump has not been impeached.
“[Y]ou look at the bar that the Republican Party held for impeaching Bill Clinton and somehow impeaching Donald Trump is supposed to be beyond the pale? It seems ridiculous to me,” she said.
If anything, talks of a Trump impeachment are motivating Republicans and moderates to vote in Tuesday’s midterm elections. Despite the extreme rhetoric by Democrat politicians and their ilk in the mainstream press, most ordinary Americans are doing just fine under a Trump presidency. The New York Times even admitted as much in an op-ed over the weekend.
But no one has ever accused of Ocasio-Cortez of being a brilliant strategist. She won an unlikely primary in a congressional district occupied by longtime Democratic stiff Joe Crowley, who failed even to hit the campaign trail.
Since then, she has made a mockery of herself on a national stage numerous times, like when she vowed to “turn Kansas red,” accidentally encouraging supporters to vote Republican in a state that already votes Republican. She also slammed Israel before being forced to admit that she was clueless about what is happening in that part of the world during an interview with PBS.
Ocasio-Cortez is certain to be elected to Congress on Tuesday. As scary a thought as that is, her unavoidable follies on Capitol Hill should at least be entertaining.
