Old School Leftist Praises Trump’s Anti-War Record

Noam Chompsky, Old Left intellectual and linguistics professor.

Leftist intellectual Noam Chompsky, assuming that term is not an oxymoron, is what some might describe as an old-school leftist, meaning that his focus has largely stayed in the realm of maximizing efficiency instead of moving toward promoting equality with the religious zeal the modern left has. While not nearly close to other more agreeable figures on the old left such as Ann Coulter’s good friend Mickey Kaus, Chompsky does indeed demonstrate that a stopped clock gets to be right twice a day. One of these recent instances appears to have stemmed from Chompsky’s commitment toward peace and diplomacy, which is in stark contrast to the mainstream left who have seemingly gone drunk on the pro-war kool-aid our rulers have so kindly prepared for us.

According to Summit News, Chompsky opined in a recent interview that there appears to be only one major political figure in the West that is currently unfazed by the war drums the Deep State is banging, and that man is the 45th President of the United States, Donal J. Trump.

“Well there is, fortunately, one statesman in the United States and Europe…who has made a very sensible statement about how you can solve the crisis, namely by facilitating negotiations instead of undermining them and moving towards establishing some kind of accommodation in Europe,” said Chomsky during the interview.

Chompsky accurately pointed out the hypocrisy of post-Cold War Presidents, specifically Bush, who broke the promise of NATO to not expand eastward into what used to be the Iron Curtain, a dereliction that has caused much angst amongst Russia’s high command due to how vulnerable this expansion has made them. Given Russia’s surprising geographic and demographic vulnerability, it would appear that only an ignoramus or a die-hard Neocon would wish to provoke the country with the world’s largest stockpile of nuclear weapons.
