Oligarch Jeff Bezos Suggests Only a Few Humans Will be Permitted to Live on Earth in Dystopian Future

By Richard Moorhead

In a discussion event at the Washington National Cathedral held by the Ignatius Forum, globalist oligarch Jeff Bezos appeared to suggest only a limited number of humans will be permitted to live on Earth in the future, an implication that would presumably entail coercing most of humanity to live in novel space colonies or even space stations. Such an existence would entail risks that humans living on Earth wouldn’t have to deal with.

“This Earth can support, let’s say, 10 billion people to a certain degree. We’d have to work really hard to figure out how to do that without degrading the planet… The solar system can support a trillion people,” said Bezos at the event this week.

“Millions of people will move from Earth to space over time. And that’s the vision of Blue Origin – millions of people working in space,” said Bezos of his vision, which curiously features humans “working” in space, rather than living. Are these people intended to engage in productive and meaningful lives in space, or are they merely intended as workers for oligarchs seeking an alternative to conditions on Earth?

“Over centuries, most or many of the people will be born in space. It will be their first home. They will be born on these colonies, they will live on these colonies. They may visit Earth the way you would visit Yellowstone National Park,” predicted Bezos.

Bezos has engaged in commercial “space” flights, orbiting Earth at high altitude in a craft some have compared to a phallic symbol. Bezos’ model of privatized spaceflight has little scientific and research utility, instead serving as a de facto amusement park venture for the connected and the elite. Physicists generally agree that sending robotic probes to conduct research on other planets of the solar system has far greater scientific value in the goal of advancing humanity to a multi-planetary species.

Spreading humanity through the stars remains a noble goal, one that far predates Bezos’ commercial space program. However, a vision of spacefaring civilization supported by the Amazon founder and the wealthiest individuals often appears to deeply contradict visions of human liberty and freedom, instead suggesting the establishment of a form of interstellar corporate fascism that could easily find itself ruled by an Emperor Palpatine figure, rather than a Captain Kirk.
