According to several reports, the Mexican government is planning to deport hundreds of migrants who stormed the U.S. Southern border Sunday as tensions mount.
“The Interior Ministry of Mexico said any would-be asylum seekers in the group had hurt their cause by ‘violently’ and ‘illegally’ trying to cross the border and that they now face deportation from the country,” according to a Fox5 report.
According to the report, the Mexican Interior Minister described the migrants’ Sunday border storming as an “act of provocation.”
“Mexican federal and local authorities stopped the migrants, Mexico’s Interior Ministry said. Those identified as having tried to illegally cross from Mexico into the United States will be processed for deportation to their home countries,” the report said.
The mayor of Tijuana, Juan Manuel Gastelum, is reportedly afraid of damaging U.S./Tijuana relations.
The report said that around 500 migrants participated in the attempted invasion. Many of those migrants have been camped out in Tijuana for more than a week, where they have been protested by local residents for crossing into Mexico illegally, and denounced by the mayor of the city. Those residents have denounced the caravan as an “invasion.”
Big League Politics reported:
“Demonstrators held signs reading ‘No illegals,’ ‘No to the invasion’ and ‘Mexico First.’ Many wore the country’s red, white and green national soccer jersey and vigorously waved Mexican flags,” according to NPR. “The crowd often slipped into chants of ‘Ti-jua-na!’ and ‘Me-xi-co!’ They sang the national anthem several times.”
After several years of calling President Donald J. Trump a racist, and now months of calling him a “white supremacist” due to his protectionist notions and self-described nationalism, the corporate media must be shocked to learn that supporting your own country does not, in fact, make you a racist. Perhaps this small conundrum is why much of the mainstream press has failed to cover the Tijuana protests completely.
“We want the caravan to go; they are invading us,” said Patricia Reyes, a 62-year-old protester, according to the report. “They should have come into Mexico correctly, legally, but they came in like animals.’”
President Donald J. Trump has ratcheted up the tough talk on Monday, threatening once again to completely close the Southern Border if Mexico does not handle the migrants.
“Mexico should move the flag waving Migrants, many of whom are stone cold criminals, back to their countries. Do it by plane, do it by bus, do it anyway you want, but they are NOT coming into the U.S.A. We will close the Border permanently if need be. Congress, fund the WALL!” he said.

President Trump is Deporting Unaccompanied Illegal Alien Minors to Prevent Spread of Coronavirus
Left-wing groups are agitating to stop the President from deporting these illegals.
President Donald Trump has started deporting unaccompanied minors found trying to illegally cross the U.S. border in order to stop the spread of coronavirus, and liberals are enraged as a result.
The administration is enforcing a March 20 order issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which states that no unauthorized individual could cross the border during the coronavirus pandemic.
The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has confirmed that the CDC policy is being applied to migrant children at the border, according to BuzzFeed News.
“All aliens CBP encounters may be subject to the CDC’s Order Suspending Introduction Of Persons From A Country Where A Communicable Disease Exists (March 20, 2020), including minors,” a CBP official told BuzzFeed News in a statement.
“When minors are encountered without adult family members, CBP works closely with their home countries to transfer them to the custody of government officials and reunite them with their families quickly and safely, if possible,” they added.
Left-wing activists who support the migrant trafficking industry are up in arms that the Trump administration is actually enforcing the law and putting Americans first during an unprecedented pandemic.
“Children arriving at the border, many of whom have endured unimaginable harm at home and on their journey, are the most vulnerable group encountered by border officials. Unaccompanied children are particularly vulnerable to trafficking,” said Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, a policy analyst at the American Immigration Council. “The answer to coronavirus cannot be to put children in harm’s way.”
Eleanor Acer, who works as the refugee protection director for Human Rights First, said that the Trump administration is “using” the coronavirus pandemic as an excuse “to advance their long-standing goal of overturning US laws protecting vulnerable children and people seeking asylum.”
During the crisis, the number of referrals for unaccompanied minors who arrive illegally into the U.S. has dropped precipitously. Referrals from Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have dropped 78 percent over the past month, with only four unaccompanied minor aliens being funneled toward the US refugee agency on Sunday.
“This is a drastic drop in referrals, especially compared to 2019, when well over a hundred unaccompanied children were referred to ORR each day,” said Sarah Pierce, an analyst with the Migration Policy Institute.
“While it likely reflects decreased arrivals at the southern border, it also suggests that many are being refused entry, in direct contravention of federal law,” she added.
The administration’s opponents claim that the President is not following the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA), a law that was signed by former President George W. Bush in 2008 that allows illegals to flood the border.
“Reports that DHS is not following the TVPRA are deeply troubling,” wrote Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Dick Durbin (D-IL), along with Reps. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), in a letter issued to acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf.
“We have an obligation to ensure the health and safety of these children. Children do not have to be put in harm’s way to protect us from the coronavirus pandemic. DHS has the ability and capacity to protect both these children and the public. We request that DHS stop this practice immediately,” they added.
Even during a coronavirus crisis, the far-left Democrats are still refusing to shut down the border even if it means the pandemic will worsen as a direct result.
