Paris Hilton Claims to Have “Pretended” to Vote for Donald Trump in 2016

Reality TV sensation and socialite Paris Hilton stated that she “pretended” to vote for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
In her book titled “Paris: The Memoir”, that was published on March 14, 2023, she revealed that lying about pulling the lever for Trump among several actions that she’s “not proud of.”
“I used to wear those horrific Von Dutch caps. I once went to a Playboy Mansion Halloween party dressed as Sexy Pocahontas,” Hilton stated, while listing off several “mistakes” she made during her youth.
“When I was put on the spot in an interview, I pretended I voted for Donald Trump because he was an old family friend and owned the first modeling agency I signed with,” she wrote.
In her book, Hilton said the following about Trump: “When I left to go to another [modeling] agency, he was furious and intimidated the shit out of me on the phone.”
When she was asked by an Australian TV station a few days following the 2016 White House race if she had pulled the lever for Trump, Hilton responded, “I’ve known him since [I was] a little girl — so yes.”
Hilton first came clean about her lie regarding her vote for Trump in 2017, when she told Marie Claire that she actually didn’t vote for Trump, but stated he would be a good president.
“He’s always been so nice, so respectful and sweet,” she said to the magazine at the time.
In her memoir, the socialite revealed that she was even more ashamed by what actually transpired during the 2016 election.
“The truth is even worse,” she stated, “I didn’t vote at all.”
“Am I standing by these choices? Would I make the same choices again, knowing what I know now? Of course not!”, Hilton wrote in the memoir.
“You make it right if you can. You apologize — in private where it counts, in public if it helps,” Hilton added.
“I’m not pretending to be, like, the Dalai Lama in Louboutins here. I’m just saying, grace is available to all of us if we make it available to each other.”
While it’s good to know that Hilton didn’t vote for liberals like Hilary Clinton, her non-support for Trump just shows how useless celebrities have become in recent years. If there is one elite that populists should ignore, it’s celebrities. Instead, our efforts should be to build support among economic elites to challenge the present crop of elites.
