Parkland Victim’s Father Misleads About Kavanaugh Interaction, Fake News Media Runs With It

Published

on

The media is working overtime to paint Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh as a callous monster after his brief interaction with the father of a victim of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High Schoo at Tuesday’s confirmation hearing.

“Just walked up to Judge Kavanaugh as morning session ended. Put out my hand to introduce myself as Jaime Guttenberg’s dad. He pulled his hand back, turned his back to me and walked away. I guess he did not want to deal with the reality of gun violence,” said Fred Guttenberg on Twitter.

That narrative is a flat-out lie. Security pulled Kavanaugh away as a strange man approached him as the confirmation hearing was taking a recess. Watch the interaction. The security guard clearly jumps in between the two:

The fake news outrage is more ridiculous than usual, but desperate times call for desperate measures. On the brink of losing another SCOTUS seat, liberals need all the help they can get in their campaign to #StopKavanaugh, and as usual, their friends in the mainstream press are more than willing to lend a hand.

First, why would soon-to-be Justice Kavanaugh have any idea who Jaime Guttenburg is? Secondly, Kavanaugh was finishing answering questions from U.S. Senate members when he was ambushed by a man he did not know. Why does Guttenberg think that he has the right to steal the show and speak with Kavanaugh in such a setting? Did he think that that was an appropriate time or place to debate Kavanaugh on the Second Amendment? Finally, there are surely security protocols in place that are meant to stop strangers from walking up to SCOTUS nominees, which is exactly what Guttenberg did.

The whole premise is ridiculous.

In fact Guttenburg said on Monday, he was attending explicitly to sabotage the confirmation hearing.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah set the record straight.

“As Judge Kavanaugh left for his lunch break, an unidentified individual approached him. Before the Judge was able to shake his hand, security had intervened,” he said on Twitter.

But that did not stop the mainstream press from coming down hard on Kavanaugh.

“Brett Kavanaugh snubs Parkland victim’s father at Senate confirmation hearing,” said a Mashable headline.

“The father of a Parkland shooting victim tried to shake Brett Kavanaugh’s hand. He failed,” said Vox.

“Parkland Dad Escorted Out of Hearing After Trying to Shake Kavanaugh’s Hand,” said Mother Jones.

The leftist mainstream press is the face of derangement in America. In the midst of what is likely one of the most important days of Kavanaugh’s life, they are hammering him over a two second interaction with someone whom he had never met, and had no reason to know.

What an absurd spectacle.

CNN Pretty Boy Don Lemon Lumps All Trump Voters Together with Klansmen and Neo-Nazis in Vicious Rant

How on earth does this man have his own TV show?

Published

on

On CNN Wednesday night, Don Lemon disparaged every single Trump voter by saying that they’re part of the same crowd as Klansmen and neo-Nazis.

In the transition from his show to Lemon’s, Chris Cuomo posed to Lemon a devil’s advocate position that “you can’t say everybody who voted for Trump is like the people who who went into the Capitol.” Lemon responded thus:

“If you are on that side, you need to think about the side you’re on. I’m never on the side of the Klan. Principled people, conservative or liberal, never on the Klan side. Principled people, conservative or liberal, never on the Nazi side. Principled people who are conservative or liberal, never on the side that treats their fellow Americans as ‘less than,’ that says that your fellow Americans should not exist, that says your fellow Americans should be in a concentration camp, or that sides with slavery, or sides with any sort of bigotry.

Cuomo jumps in to continue playing devil’s advocate: “And if they say, ‘I don’t agree with those people, I just like Trump’s policies’?”

“Then get out the crowd with them,” Lemon says. “Get out of the crowd.”

Cuomo then retorts, again pretending to represent the other side: “‘I wasn’t in the crowd, I just voted for Trump.'”

Lemon replied: “You’re in the crowd who voted for Trump. If you voted for Trump, you voted for the person who the Klan supported. You voted for the person who Nazis support. You voted for the person who the alt-right supports. That’s the crowd you are in. You voted for the person who incited a crowd to go into the Capitol and potentially take the lives of lawmakers, took the lives of police officers, took the innocent lives who were there on the Capitol that day. You voted on that side. And the people in Washington are continuing to vote on that side.

Quite the incoherent rant, don’t you think? For one, Klansmen and neo-Nazis are by and large not Trump supporters. Even if some were at one point, they were among the quickest to turn on Trump, for they realized that he was not and was never going to be Hitler 2.0. Plus, none of those who breached the Capitol were found to be members of the Klan or a neo-Nazi group. So there goes the thrust of Lemon’s argument.

Lemon also claims, without evidence, that Trump “incited” violence and encouraged his supporters to breach the Capitol. Even if you disapprove of Trump’s rhetoric, you cannot admit in good faith that he incited or encouraged any illegal activity.

Someone like Lemon should not be on TV. He is extraordinarily divisive and full of contempt for 75 million Americans.
