Pedophiles Rebranding as ‘Minor Attracted Persons’ In Effort to Be Accepted by LGBT Community

Many on the political right have been forecasting a new trend that is emerging on the political left, acceptance of pedophilia as a “condition” and not a crime, which now is gaining a foothold.

“According to Urban Dictionary, the blanket term MAP includes infantophiles (infants), pedophiles (pre-pubescent children), hebephiles (pubescent children), and ephebophiles (post-pubescent children). Some MAPs also refer to themselves as NOMAPs or “Non-Offending Minor Attracted Persons,” wrote The Daily Caller. 

MAP stands for “Minor Offending Person.” The basic claim is that MAP’s are not criminals, but rather people whose sexualities are misunderstood. Since they feel as though they are simply misunderstood, they have sought out the LGBT community, who they cast in a similar light, to take them in. They have even designed their own pride flag, which looks very similar to the Gay Pride flag.

Yet websites like The Prevention Project defend this movement by mincing words. According to their website, a “hebophile” is someone who is attracted to prepubescent teens, not minors. A “ephebophile” is someone who is attracted to post-pubescent teens. Both, they say, are different than MAPs.

But by law, a minor is someone under the age of 18. The Prevention Project can make up as many words as it wants, but the old term for those attracted to children – pervert – will do just fine.

The Prevention Project claims that its goal has never been to connect the MAP “community” with the LGBT community.

Normalizing indecent behavior that is prohibited by law ought to be unacceptable in our society.
