Presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren is echoing her Democratic colleagues push for unconstitutional national emergencies.
Ever since President Trump declared a state of emergency at the southern border, Democrats have gone unhinged.
Starting with Nancy Pelosi, Democrats have shifted the national emergency conversation to their own pet projects such as climate change and gun violence.
The Massachusetts Senator and presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren took advantage of her appearance on CBS’s “The Late Late Show” to promote her leftist views.
The Late Late Show host James Corden asked for Warren’s take on the president’s national emergency declaration and what would be considered a national emergency under a Warren presidency.
Warren laid out a list of emergency items:
“Climate change, gun violence, student loan debt, right off the top. That’s what we ought to be working on. And we ought to be working on it together. Congress, the President, as a country, those are things we should be working on.”
Warren’s statements just show how out of touch Democrats are with their policy propositions. Trump’s national emergency has a constitutional basis and is a sound policy for a nation that wants to remain culturally and politically stable.
On the other hand, what Warren is calling for is as unconstitutional and despotic as it gets. Trampling on the God-given right to self-defense and private property rights is standard fare for the present-day Democratic party. Globalism is their religion, which requires many constitutional sacrifices. Economic and institutional damage be damned.
All these factors considered, she’s a perfect fit for the Democratic Party.
The only national emergency here is how people like Warren get elected in the first place.
