Political Hack John Bolton Belief Trump Will Abandon United States Allies If Re-Elected

Former Trump administration national security adviser John Bolton predicts that if former President Donald Trump is re-elected, he will completely ignore the US’s strengthening alliance with Japan and other allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) alliance umbrella.

“He does not really think in policy terms,” Bolton declared during a recent interview with Kyodo News, asserting that Trump places a priority on what benefits him “politically and economically.”

“I think the general trend of his approach and foreign affairs is isolationist. So I’m very worried he would withdraw from NATO. I’m worried he would cut back on American alliances in the Pacific,” Bolton commented. “I think that’d be very damaging to the United States, not to mention to our allies.”

Bolton is vocal about how he does not want Trump to receive the Republican Party nomination in 2024 and backs all of Trump’s Republican rivals for the presidency. Though the former national security adviser concedes that pulling off such an upset against Trump is an “uphill struggle.”

The former national security adviser believes that the US is in a post-Cold War moment where it’s dealing with a strengthening Russia-China axis abroad, which will poses challenges to US aims for international hegemony.

Bolton is a total interventionist hack who should be thoroughly ignored. It still boggles the mind how Trump brought this clown on board his administration. From here on out, if Trump is actually serious about implementing an America First foreign policy, he needs to avoid hiring the likes of John Bolton.
