Political Prisoner Owen Shroyer Places Back in Solitary Confinement After Urging Friend To Publish
Infowars journalist Owen Shroyer was reportedly thrown back into solitary confinement at FCI Oakdale prison after he posted a phone call on X of himself sending a message to his followers.
In the phone call, Shroyer was thankful for the letters he had received declaring “I can’t tell you how much they mean to me.”
Shroyer announced that he had been released from solitary confinement after spending a week there. Shroyer was placed in solitary confinement due to the prison’s Wuhan virus intake policies.
“My life on the outside of the inside begins today,” Shroyer declared, calling attention to how it had been sunny the whole time he was in solitary confinement but the weather ended up being cold and rainy the second he was let out. Despite this, Shroyer said that the weather “probably just as refreshing as the sun would have felt.”
Shroyer expressed his hope to host a radio show from federal prison.
Shroyer received a 60 day prison sentence as a response to being on Capitol grounds on January 6, 2021. He did not actually enter the building, but allegedly violated a previous deferred prosecution agreement that prohibited the journalist from using “loud, threatening, or abusive language, or to engage in any disorderly or disruptive conduct, at any place upon the United States Capitol Grounds.”
Court documents claim that Shroyer had allegedly finished 30 of the 32 hours of community service mandated by the deferred prosecution agreement, which was established in January 2020 after he “shouted in a loud manner” during a House Judiciary Committee hearing back in December 2019.
Prosecutors, who pursued a 120-day sentence, asserted during the trial that Shroyer “spread election disinformation paired with violent rhetoric” to viewers in the months leading up to January 6.
“Shroyer did not step foot inside the Capitol, he did not need to; many of those who listened to him did instead. In the aftermath, he blamed ‘Antifa’ and told his followers: ‘We should have been proud of what happened’”, the prosecutor’s report stated.
Shroyer’s ordeal demonstrates how free speech in the US is dead. The US has morphed into the very tyrannical nation that it purportedly fights abroad. That’s the harsh reality of politics these days.
The political Right must disabuse itself of the idea that the US stands for the rule of law. It has become another despotic regime that tramples on fundamental freedoms and concentrates political power among the few at the expense of the many.
