Porn Lawyer Avenatti’s Wife Says He’s ‘Emotionally Abusive’

Divorce court documents obtained by Fox News describe what hotshot lawyer Michael Avenatti is like when he is not doing television spots on CNN.

It turns out the dodgy barrister, who is representing porn star Stormy Daniels in a case to lift a non-disclosure agreement that Daniels allegedly has with President Donald J. Trump, is no more agreeable in his private life as he is in public.

“[Avenatti] is hot tempered and used to having his way – when he doesn’t, he gets extremely loud and verbally aggressive,” said Lisa Storie-Avenatti, the lawyer’s soon-to-be-ex-wife in sworn testimony.

Storie-Avenatti describes a scene in which Avenatti demanded access to the couple’s home after they had separated. He allegedly brought his 15-year-old daughter from a previous marriage as a witness. When denied entry, he allegedly threw a fit, threatening to come back and harass his family every day until he was allowed inside. He allegedly became so enraged that he called the police. When the police arrived they denied his entry according to the records.

Describing him as “emotionally abusive” and potentially “harmful” to their three-year-old son, Storie-Avenatti obtained an exclusion order, barring Avenatti from the couple’s home.

“The purpose of these exclusion/exclusive use orders is intended to prevent acts of domestic violence and to provide for a separation of the persons involved for a period sufficient to enable them to seek a resolution of the cause of the violence,” the court records note.

Avenatti denied that this event occurred.

“You are publishing this story as part of your attempt to discredit me and distract away from the serious legal issues surrounding Mr. Trump,” Avenatti said in an email to Fox News. “You see me and my client as a serious threat to his presidency so you have decided to resort to personal attacks designed to malign us. It will not work.”
