President Donald J. Trump released a statement following his acquittal in a Senate impeachment trial on Saturday.

Seven Republican Senators had cowed before the intimidation of the Democratic Party, but only 57 Senators ultimately voted to convict President Trump on a dubious charge of incitement of charges. It’s not even legal to stage impeachment proceedings against a President no longer in office.

The President’s statement suggests the American people hasn’t seen the last of the celebrity businessman and 45th US President, and that he plans to continue the work to Make America Great Again in a renewed capacity. That could entail anything between another campaign for the presidency, to building new social media platforms where Americans can speak freely.
