President Trump Says Alleged Feud with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is ‘Totally Fake News’
In recent weeks, there have been multiple media reports indicating that President Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are feuding over who is the alpha dog of the America First GOP.
Trump went on Fox News on Thursday to clear the air, saying that these reports are “totally fake news” and that he and DeSantis remain on the same page.
“I get along great with Ron. Ron was very good on the Mueller hoax. He was right up front along with Jim Jordan and all the rest of them. They were fantastic. The Republicans really stuck together, and it was a great thing, and Ron was one of them, and Ron wanted to run, and I endorsed him, and that helped him greatly, and he’s went on and done a really terrific job in Florida,” Trump said.
“I think Ron has been very good. He’s been a friend of mine for a long time. It’s totally fake news. I think Ron said last week that the press is never going to get in the middle of my friendship with Donald Trump, we’re not going to do that stuff, and he said it very strongly, and I thought that was very interesting actually, and very nice, but he said that, and I agree with him 100 percent,” he added.
Fox News host Sean Hannity also noted that a friend of his recently dined with DeSantis, and DeSantis echoed these sentiments that there is no feud to speak of between the two populist icons.
Big League Politics has reported on the accomplishments of DeSantis as Florida Governor after riding the Trump wave into office:
“Governor Ron DeSantis has proposed legislation to combat woke corporations and the teaching of Critical Race Theory in schools.
In a blow to CRT and wokeness, Florida’s governor announced on Wednesday at a press conference, that he was proposing a “first of its kind in the nation” legislation to combat “indoctrination in the guise of professional development, and requires districts and schools to adhere to professional development frameworks consistent with Florida’s lawful and publicly adopted state standards.”
He vowed Florida will not tolerate “cultural Marxism,” declaring CRT and wokeness an “elite driven phenomenon.” He wants to protect Florida’s children from this woke indoctrination at school.
“We want all our students to understand why was our country founded. What were some of the key ideas that made us different,” he said, noting the Founding Fathers’ belief that mankind was endowed by our Creator with God given rights, emphasizing that those rights “do not come from government.”
“I think what you see now with the rise of this woke ideology is an attempt to really delegitimize our history and delegitimize our institutions,” he continued. “And I view the wokeness as cultural Marxism.”
Many would argue that the number one threat facing conservatives in America and indeed America itself is the march of cultural marxism through our institutions. As DeSantis declared, the left seeks to alter the very “fabric of our society and culture and things we’ve taken for granted, like the ability of parents to direct the upbringing of their kids,” replacing it with a “militant form of leftism” and adding that Americans have a responsibility to stand for the truth.”
Trump and DeSantis remain united as they fight back against far-left extremism. God bless these national heroes and their crusade to preserve civilization for generations to come.
