President Trump Teases ‘Very Big Trade Deal’ with the UK Following Successful Brexit

Trump is giving the British an incentive to do a hard Brexit under new Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

President Donald Trump met with new United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson this weekend, and hinted that a “very big trade deal” would be in the works following the Brexit.

Trump made the remarks during the G7 summit in Biarritz, France where he issued a ringing endorsement for Johnson, who recently supplanted the disgraced Theresa May vowing that Britain will finally leave the European Union (EU) by October.

“He needs no advice, he’s the right man for the job,” Trump said after he was asked to give pointers on how Johnson could achieve a Brexit.

“This is a different person and this is a person that is going to be a great prime minister in my opinion,” he added.

While there is still great political opposition from the elites to reverse the will of the voters and keep Britain in the EU, Trump is offering a counter-balance to their influence and promising a great trade deal after Johnson pulls off the Brexit.

“We’re are having very good trade talks between the U.K. and ourselves. We’re going to do a very big trade deal, bigger than we’ve ever had with the UK,” Trump said.

“At some point, they won’t have the obstacle of, they won’t have the anchor around their ankle, because that’s what they had. So, we’re going to have some very good trade talks and big numbers,” he added.

Johnson is excited about the possibilities after Britain finally leaves the EU, and his nation regains its sovereignty and is able to pursue the best possible trade deal with the U.S. without having to worry about international bureaucrats getting in the way.

“We’ll be having some pretty comprehensive talks about how to take forward the relationship in all sorts of ways, particularly on trade and we are very excited about that,” Johnson said.

“And I just want to actually congratulate the president on everything that the American economy is achieving, it’s fantastic to see that,” he added.

Trump also spent time during the G7 summit lambasting the fake news media, as he continues to push back against the enemy of the people like no Republican politician in U.S. history.

President Trump is hitting his stride on the global stage, and his strong leadership is spilling over into other countries. Britain may have their independence soon thanks in part to Trump support of Johnson and eagerness to deal with Britain outside of the bounds of EU globalists.

Chinese State Media Hack Cites CATO Institute To Defend Globalist Trade Policies

Politics makes strange bedfellows.

An editor of a Chinese-government controlled media group cited a CATO Institute article to argue against Senator Josh Hawley’s criticisms of the World Trade Organization in a tweet on Tuesday, telling the Missouri Senator to “get educated” on the benefits the globalist trade organization supposedly provides.

Chen Weihua is the EU bureau chief of China Daily, a daily newspaper following in the mold of many Chinese media organizations in being entirely state-owned and affiliated with the Chinese government.

It would nominally comes as a surprise that an operative of the Chinese Communist Party would cite the free-trade libertarian think tank’s rebuttal to Senator Hawley’s argument against the WTO, but politics makes for strange bedfellows. Both the Chinese government’s outsourcing-based economic model and western corporate elites cozy with CATO benefit from a continued regime of low trade barriers and free trade, placing the ideological libertarians and Chinese communists in the same camp on trade policy.

Senator Hawley had put Weihua on blast for propagandizing against the populist-right senator’s call to abolish the World Trade Organization and replace it with an economic nationalist and pro-worker alternative. The WTO has been a critical element in the outsourcing of millions of American jobs and vital national industry to China and other countries where cheap labor is plentiful.

Staunch America First advocates pushed back against Weihua and CATO’s defense of “free trade” with China, with economic nationalists arguing that the country should never even have been let into the WTO to begin with.
