Pro-America First Candidate Anthony Sabatini Pulls Off Major Upset In Lake County Commission Race

On August 20, 2024, former Florida State Representative Anthony Sabatini defeated incumbent Lake County Commissioner Doug Shields.
Sabatini acquired 47.84% of the vote while Shields only picked up 40.83% of the vote. A distant third candidate Sam Simmons only picked up 11.32% of the vote.
Sabatini made a pivot to the Lake County Commission race when he pulled out of the Republican primary in which he was challenging Florida Congressman Daniel Webster. When Webster received the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, Sabatini decided to run for the Lake County Commission instead.
Sabatini served in the Florida State House from 2018 to 2022. During his time in office, Sabatini promoted legislation such as Constitutional Carry while also fighting against Big Tech censorship efforts to muzzle the speech of right-wing figures.
Sabatini’s wife, Francheska Sabatini, also ran for Lake County Court Judge Group 4. She ended up losing her race to Chad J. Monty, where he acquired 61.01% of the vote, while she only gathered 38.99%.

So many people to thank but especially want to single out Ryan, Brett, Julia, Joe, Richard, Logan, Andy, Raven, Matt, & Aidan so many others who worked day in & day out on the campaign. We brought on a lot young conservatives who are passionate about saving this country—which starts at the local level. I expect ALL of them to rise up in the conservative movement & to stay in the fight. We beat the corrupt RINOs, special interests, Tallahassee dark money, & mentally unstable Democrats—let’s keep winning ”
Sabatini will undoubtedly be a great addition to the Lake County Commission. He is one of the few principled America First figures under the age of 40 who is willing to take on the establishment.
His pivot towards local politics should serve as an example for all right wingers to follow. Because as they say, all politics begins locally. If we want to take over the federal government and impose an America First vision nationwide, we first have to get our local governments in order.
