Pro-Liberty State Representative Rick Becker Announces Congressional Campaign

On January 22, 2024, former state Representative and Chairman of End Unfair Property Tax, Dr. Rick Becker, launched his campaign for the United States House of Representatives for North Dakota’s only congressional seat.
Becker is a plastic surgeon, businessman, and former state representative. Dr. Becker was first elected to the North Dakota State House back in 2012. He was subsequently re-elected in 2014 and 2018. During his time in office, Beckler built a reputation as one of the leading liberty conservative figures in the state legislature.
Becker published the following statement:
Washington, DC is packed with corrupt politicians more concerned with funding foreign conflicts than addressing the issues we face here at home. The only solution is to elect proven conservative fighters who have a record of standing up to the establishment and fighting for We The People.
That’s why I am officially announcing my campaign for Congress today.
The Biden administration is crushing North Dakota’s middle class through skyrocketing inflation. The failure to declare an illegal invasion at the border and take immediate action is grounds for impeachment alone, but the current House Republicans refuse to act.
The people of North Dakota deserve more. When I’m elected to represent you in the US House of Representatives, I will fight to end Washington’s reckless spending spree, stop all funding of radical WOKE ideology, and make America first again.
Becker’s announcement was logically followed by incumbent Congressman Kelly Armstrong’s announcement on January 23 that he will be running for Governor of North Dakota. On January 22, incumbent Governor Doug Burgum announced that he will not run for a third term.
On January 23, Rick Becker published a press release titled “Breaking: Rick Becker Calls on GOP to Unify Behind His Campaign for Congress” where he pushed for the Republican Party to get behind his company.
He said the following:
I am the only serious candidate running for North Dakota’s seat in Congress. | am calling on Republicans across our great state to unite behind my campaign. The time for infighting is over. We must come together and show a strong force to prepare for battle against the Democrats in the general election.
It is time to put aside our differences and focus on what truly matters: securing our southern border, stopping the funding of radical WOKE ideology, and standing up to the corrupt Washington uniparty. As the next Congressman from North Dakota, | will work day and night to advance our priorities in DC.
Becker would be a fantastic addition to the US Congress. His pro-liberty track record would be a welcome addition as he fights alongside the likes of Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie and Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs to roll back the administrative state.
Let’s hope that North Dakota voters make the right call during the primaries and general election.
