PROBLEMATIC: Ocasio-Cortez Normalizes Rape Culture With ‘Run Train’ Comments

Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) represents a clear and present danger to women’s rights and autonomy over their own bodies after her horrific comments in a recent Washington Post interview.

“So enjoy being exhausted for the next two years while we run train on the progressive agenda,” she said of her conservative critics.

Not to enter mansplaining territory, but just because AOC is member of the Democratic Party, does not mean that she should receive a pass for comments that are so clearly sexist – so deeply rooted in a toxically masculine culture that believes that women are the property of men. “Run train?” Really?

Here is how Urban Dictionary defines the term:

“When a bunch of guys have sex with the same girl one after another with no break for the girl; to perform various unforgivable acts of a sexual nature on one female in rapid succession; a gangbang.”

AOC mentioned nothing about whether she’ll ask for the consent of the Republican Party before she gangbangs them into submission. What if they’re just not that into her? Is she literally threatening to rape 60 million plus Republican Americans?

There is nothing “progressive” about the threat of gang rape. Phrases like “run train” are violent. They are the equivalent of actually committing the crime of rape. AOC should understand that.

All men are sexually aggressive and predatory. It comes along with their inherent toxic masculinity, as described in a recent Gillette advertisement. For AOC to endorse such behavior is beyond comprehension. She should be censured by her truly progressive colleagues immediately, in the interest of female autonomy from the patriarchy.
