Rand Paul: ‘Day Of Reckoning’ Inevitable, Americans Will ‘Rise Up’

Have the American people had enough of endless crime? Kentucky Senator Rand Paul predicted that a “day of reckoning” is coming for the Democrat Party as Americans grow increasingly tired of surging crime and violence in cities around the country.

Paul alleged that Democrats hold a double standard when it comes to political violence, accusing the Left of only caring when their own side is being attacked. The comments came in wake of a violent knife attack on GOP Rep. Lee Zeldin last week during a campaign speech.

“The left wing is egging this on,” Paul said during a recent appearance with Sean Hannity.

“And if we want to end this we have to start locking people up,” stated Paul.

The Kentucky Senator compared media coverage of the violent attack against Zeldin with coverage of an assault he suffered at the hands of his neighbor a few years ago, pointing out that a report said “violence against me was justified.”

Paul then put Democrats on blast for the extreme crime and violence plaguing numerous cities under their party’s control.

“There’s going to come a day of reckoning where the people who live in New York City – crime disproportionately affects those in poor neighborhoods and those who are minorities.”

“One day they’re going to rise up and say, ‘We’ve had enough,'” he said.

“‘The Democrats are not protecting our children.’”

He continued:

“Kids are dying at the bus stop.”

“Kids are dying on the subway,” exclaimed Paul.

“The Democrats don’t care about your kids. And it continues to happen decade after decade.”

“There’s going to be a day that people are going to wake up and say, ‘We’ve had enough.”

“We’re going to vote for law and order.’”

“And Lee Zeldin is the law and order candidate,” Paul asserted.

“So I think there is a chance that people will say, ‘I don’t care, Black, White, whatever.”

“I’m not associated with any party,” he said.

“I want a stop to the crime and we have to put people in jail.’ I think that’s coming,” Paul added.

Senator Paul has dominated news headlines throughout this month, often going toe-to-toe with some of politics’ most powerful figures, his own party included. An earlier July report by BLP covered Paul’s accusation that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell made a backdoor deal with Joe Biden in order to make a pick for a judge. McConnell essentially claimed the opposite — more on that can be found below.
