Record 4.4 Million Americans Quit Their Jobs in September Amid Vaccine, Mask Mandates
A record 4.4 million Americans quit their jobs in September, a continuing economic trend under the reign of Joe Biden that has seen countless Americans leave the workforce. The Department of Labor released statistics revealing the figure, which beats out August 2021 as the record-breaking month for job quitting.
Major American companies started enforcing strict vaccine mandates in the month of September, which Biden warning of an OSHA mandate to force businesses with more than 100 employees the next month. The Biden administration vaccine “requirement” has been met with a smorgasbord of legal challenges, but the administration is urging private businesses to enforce vaccine mandates anyway.
American businesses have proved increasingly unwilling to increase wages and benefits, in the midst of wide-ranging inflation spurred by Biden’s economic policies. With ever more employers demanding that their employees receive the coronavirus vaccine against their wishes, it appears many workers are opting out of the “job” experience entirely, frankly deciding that it’s simply a better alternative to stay at home, pursue hobbies, or explore economic activity outside of working for an employer.
Corporations that hire workers for the service economy simply refuse to relent on ruthless mask mandates, demanding that the average burger chef, Home Depot associate, or coffee barista wear the pointless garment as the American public increasingly recognizes the practice as a useless gesture. In hypocritical fashion, corporate managers for major companies are more likely than ever to work in settings where masks aren’t mandatory, while demanding them for the lower-paid workers.
Economists predict that companies that wish to retain a serious workforce will need to pay a livable wage. Corporate America has undertaken a wide-ranging lobbying effort to increase legal and illegal immigration, hoping to replace American workers unwilling to work for pennies with foreign labor with no bargaining power.
The Department of Labor describes 10.4 million job openings in the September report, but with large corporations fanatically opposed to paying much of their workforce traditional American middle-class wages, it doesn’t appear the fake “labor shortage” (as coined by the elite) will be ameliorated anytime soon.
