REMINDER: President Obama Gave Guns to Mexican Cartels Who Used Them to Murder Border Agent Brian Terry (Didn’t Get Impeached)

While everyone is getting worked up over the current impeachment saga, another year goes by without any justice done to fallen Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

Brian Terry was caught in the middle of the infamous federal gun-running program infamously known as “Fast and Furious.” Under this program, the ATF ran a series of sting operations to try sell firearms to Mexican cartel leaders and entrap them in the process. Interestingly enough, the ATF caught no cartel leaders, but it did see American weapons falls into the hands of Mexican cartels.

Late at night on December 14, 2010,  Agent Terry and his BORTAC colleagues were assigned a mission to search for a Mexican “rip crew” in the southern Arizona border.

Rip crews refer to bandits who attack human and drug smuggling hikers near the border to take off whatever belongings or drugs they are carrying with them.

Agent Terry’s team confronted a group right before midnight that very night and the group shot at the agents. The group of marauders mortally wounded Terry.

Following Terry’s murder, many members of this bandit crew have faced justice. According to a Breitbart Texas report, Mexican law enforcement apprehended the final suspect involved in the murder of Agent Terry.

Although the Mexican bandits responsible for the murder are in the hands of the U.S. justice system, no one in the federal government has faced scrutiny for their actions in providing two guns to the killers, Terry’s family claimed when talking to Breitbart News.

Trump has promised to rectify this situation, but documents in connection to the Fast and Furious scandal are still shrouded in secrecy.

“Another year has passed and we are still waiting for answers — it has been eight years,” Agent Terry’s sister Michelle Balogh commented in email correspondence with Breitbart News. “We still want those in the previous administration to be held accountable for their actions in the botched gun program, Fast and Furious, that killed Brian.”

“Not only does Brian deserve answers and justice, but, the American people deserve to know the truth as well,” Balogh added. “Every holiday for us now has not been the same as Brian was killed just ten days before Christmas. It’s supposed to be a joyous season, but instead, we are reminded of his death and pain of his senseless murder.”

Balogh said the Trump Administration still needs to make the remaining Fast and Furious documents available so her family and the family of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent Jaime Zapata can get the truth and finally get a sense of cloture.

Agent Terry’s brother, Kent Terry, has been very critical of the government and their failure to hold government officials responsible for their administrative malfeasances.

“It’s frustrating that oversight has never followed through with their investigation,” Kent Terry stated. “Eight years into this and no one [in the federal government] has been held accountable for their involvement in supplying guns to known criminals through the Fast and Furious gun scandal.”

“It’s sad and very disappointing how corrupt our Department of Justice is in not getting documents released under Attorneys General Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, and Jeff Sessions.”

“What is our justice system really hiding?” Terry asked. “It has been eight years and my family is still without closure.”

The Terry family has maintained its frustration about the lack of transparency from the federal government and its role in Brian Terry’s death. It has now been nine years without any solid answers.

The Fast and Furious program was described as Obama’s “Watergate” and represented an actual impeachable offense as opposed to the current Ukraine foreign aid nothing burger.

Too bad people’s short-term memory will ignore this example of ATF dereliction.
