Rep. Devin Nunes: We ‘Have A Plan’ To Impeach Rod Rosenstein

The Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee is turning the heat up on rogue members of the DOJ who have refused to submit to a subpoena request for documents pertaining to the Russian collusion investigation.

“I can tell you that we’re not just going to hold in contempt, we will have a plan to hold in contempt and to impeach,” said Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA)

Nunes is seeking an unredacted version of the document which was used as a pretense for the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign regarding allegations that aided Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.

He has subpoenaed Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who recently ordered a raid on the office of Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

He also subpoenaed FBI Director Christopher Wray for the same documents. Neither Rosenstein or Wray have complied with the subpoena.

He spoke to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham on April 10:

“Just the fact that they’re not giving this to us tells me there’s something wrong here,” said Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA).

“I can tell you this,” Nunes told Ingraham. “We are going to get the document. So they can either cough [it] up now or it will get really complicated and we’ll have to take all the steps necessary in order to get all the documents.”

“Congress – the legislative brach – we created these agencies. They have the respnsibility to give us documents when we ask for them. We have the appropriate clearances. That’s why the House Intelligence Committee exists. So at the end of the day, we’re gonna win on this, and it’s just a matter of how tough they’re going to make it for Congress to actually do our job.”
