Rep. Ilhan Omar Blames Cops for Rise of Crime in Minneapolis After Implementation of Far-Left ‘Defund the Police’ Policies

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is blaming law enforcement for the rise of crime in Minneapolis after the implementation of “Defund the Police” policies following the Black Lives Matter terror uprising.
“What we must also recognize is that the reduction in policing currently in our city and the lawlessness that is happening is due to two things,” Omar said while appearing at a town hall event for constituents on Saturday.
Additionally, she claimed that “the police have chosen to not fulfill their oath of office and to provide the public safety they are owed to the citizens they serve.”
Omar is making excuses for the predictable results of what she has advocated, and she is blaming the victims as law and order disintegrates in the community which she represents.
“The Minneapolis Police Department is the most dysfunctional in our state and probably in the country,” Omar said.
“And I do believe that the current charter that we have does tie the hands of those who want to have that accountability,” she added.
