Rep. Paul Gosar Introduces Bill Allowing States to Deport Illegal Immigrants Out of the Country

Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) is introducing a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives called the “Empowering States to Deport Illegal Immigrants Act,” which will allow states to remove foreign invaders from the country without relying on the federal government.

“States may authorize State or local law enforcement officers to enforce provisions of Federal immigration law that prohibit the unlawful entry into the United States,” the bill draft reads.

The bill draft also states that “state prosecutors are authorized to initiate prosecutions for violations of Federal immigration law…in a United States District Court that has jurisdiction over…the place at which any such violation occurred; or the place at which the person charged for any such violation is apprehended.”

An immigration moratorium would pause all immigration and restrict it to exceptional circumstances. While the Trump administration got the ball rolling with the construction of a border wall, the Biden regime has done nothing to consolidate this vital border security project. Mass deportations would occur through vigorous enforcement of current immigration laws, which would result in an “attrition through enforcement” dynamic, thereby disincentivizing further illegal immigration.

An E-Verify system would allow employers to electronically verify the work status of their prospective employees and see if they’re legally able to live and work in the US. E-Verify would target one of the migration magnets — work opportunities — and make it much harder for businesses to bring illegal aliens into the workforce through under-handed means.”

Gosar’s proposal should be an immediate priority for House Republicans if they take back the chamber in the 2022 midterm elections. He wants to empower red states to solve the problem of illegal immigration without waiting on the corrupt and shiftless federal government to get their act in order.
