Republican Candidates Still Hold An Advantage Against Democrat Rivals in the 2024 Presidential Elections
According to a report published by Rasmussen, 47% of likely United States voters would pull the lever for Republican congressional candidates if elections were held in the present. By contrast, 41% of voters would for Democrat candidates.
Only 4% would vote for an independent candidate. An additional 8% are unsure about who they would vote for in the congressional elections.
Republicans enjoy a 15-point advantage among independent voters. 83% of Republican voters would pull the lever for their own party’s congressional candidate if the election were carried out today, whereas 80% of Democratic voters would pull the lever for the Democratic candidate. Among independent voters, 44% would vote for Republican candidates and 29% would vote Democrats, whereas 10% stated they would vote for some other candidate and 17% are undecided.
49% of white voters, 28% of black voters, and 51% of non-black minorities are in favor of Republican candidates , whereas 40% of white voters, 53% of black voters, and 37% of non-black minorities would vote for Democrat congressional candidates if the election were held today.
As far as income earners are concerned, those making $200,000 annually, support Democrat candidates by a margin of 51% to 35%. By contrast, Republicans enjoy a vast 57% to 33% lead among individuals making between $30,000 and $50,000 yearly.
Republicans are looking good in these upcoming elections. A good deal of them have astutely capitalized on issues ranging from immigration, crime to inflation in order to rise into prominence. This is all good.
However, campaign talk is one thing and legislation according to principles is a whole different ballgame. There are plenty of cases of elected officials saying based and principled things on the campaign trail to later back on their wod.
That’s the nature of politics. The good news is that there’s a way out of this mess: It’s by grassroots voters constantly holding their politicians’ feet to the fire and making sure to punish them when they legislate out of line.
