Republican Rep. Joe Wilson Wants a Statue of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the U.S. Capitol

Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) has introduced a resolution to put a bust of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the U.S. Capitol, to officially honor the patron saint of the military-industrial complex with a graven idol.

“Resolved, That the House of Representatives directs the Fine Arts Board to obtain a bust of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for display in a suitable, permanent location in the House of Representatives wing of the United States Capitol,” the resolution states.

Wilson has been a blind enthusiast for World War 3 for nearly a year now, doing everything he can to help the U.S. government arm Ukraine and provoke Russia as quickly and wastefully as possible.

“I am grateful to introduce this bipartisan bill to ensure that red tape does not stand in the way of the courageous people of Ukraine as they fight for their families and the sovereignty of their country. There is historical precedent for lend-lease dating back to World War II, which was instrumental in defeating Hitler’s Nazi Germany,” Rep. Joe Wilson said while announcing his ‘Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act of 2022.’

“This war perpetrated by Vladimir Putin against Ukraine has united the world in its resolve against corrupt authoritarians and in admiration for the Ukrainian people. The US, along with our valued allies, must continue to supply Ukraine with the military equipment they need to repel this attack, and this legislation expedites and expands that process,” Wilson added.

“On January 5, 2023, the US announced that it would send about $3 billion in military aid to Ukraine. According to a report by AP News, this package will feature several dozen Bradley fighting vehicles. This is the Biden regime’s latest step to send lethal military aid to Ukraine in its fight to push back against Russia’s invasion of the country.

European countries have also ramped up their military aid contributions. For example, Germany announced that it would supply Ukraine with armored personnel carriers and a Patriot missile battery. Similarly, France said that it will hold discussions to set up the delivery of armored combat vehicles.

The Bradley is an armored carrier used to transport troops to the battlefield and has built a reputation of being a “tank-killer” due to the anti-tank missile it can fire.

This latest batch of military aid is roughly $2.85 billion and is made up of 50 Bradley vehicles. It’s the largest in a series of packages of military aid that the Defense Department has drawn from its stockpiles to send to Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced in a joint statement on January 5 that the US would supply Ukraine with Bradleys while Germany would supply Marder armored personnel carriers.”
