Rev. Al Sharton Tweets: ‘Some people call me a race hustler’
New York City-based civil rights leader and Baptist minister Rev. Alfred C. “Al” Sharpton Jr., Tweeted out a bizarre video Saturday, where he challenged his “race hustler” reputation as he spins around the room before his morning workout.
“I would like to report a mistaken identity case,” said the founder and leader of the National Action Network.
“People get caught on the stereotype that are looking for, so they confuse what they are looking for with what you and I are,” he said.
“I read about these people talking about Al Sharpton, race hustler, opportunist–think I am being mistaken? Yeah, I am one who deals with race–racial injustice and unfairness.”

Some call me a race hustler but they’re mistaken, I deal w/ race issues & I use every opportunity to advocate for what I believe in. pic.twitter.com/2jDE6cDmND
