Russia Accuses Ukraine and The West of Engaging Terrorism in Ukraine

On February 28, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Russia is facing higher terroristic threats. He linked these terrorist threats to actions taken by Collective West and Ukraine.

“The task of countering terrorist threat is still relevant. The number of such crimes rose over the past year,” he said during a meeting of leading officials of the Federal Security Service (FSB) on February 28. “This is obviously connected with the attempts by the Kiev regime to use terrorist methods,” Putin continued. The Russian president then declared that “the West’s strive to revive the units of extremists and terrorists, their so-called old friends” on Russian soil explains the Russian state’ increased focus on countering terrorism.

“We are aware of the fact that they have never been above using both radicals and extremists to their advantage despite all those loud announcements on tackling international terrorism,” he added.

“It is necessary to efficiently respond to all those challenges,” Putin stressed. The terrorist threat that Russia could potentially face from the West and its Ukrainian lapdog is a new theater that the Russia hawks could expose. Knowing that they can’t win in Ukraine and aren’t willing to directly confront a nuclear war, the Collective West blob may start pursuing a dirty war in Russia to make it sweat and wreak havoc within its territory.

That’s how petty the Russia hawks are in the West.
