Russian Diplomat Criticizes the Biden Regime for Reaction to Chinese Balloon Incident

On February 7, 2023, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described the United States government’s reaction to the Chinese balloon incident on its territory as “hysterical.” She stressed that China’s explanations about this incident “were quite sufficient and straightforward” per a report by TASS.
“We believe that the explanations given by the Chinese side about the country’s balloon entering US airspace as a result of force majeure are quite sufficient and understandable. The Chinese Foreign Ministry lamented how a “force majeure” resulted in the balloon entering US airspace and highlighted China’s willingness to stay in contact with the US authorities to sort out this situation.
