Senate Border Deal Grants Afghans With Path to US Citizenship

A bill from Oklahoma Senator James Lankford, Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy, and Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema will grant green cards to Afghan nationals rapidly imported to the United States by the Biden regime.

Such a move would provide them an expedited pathway to naturalized American citizenship.

One of the provisions of the bill would allow tens of thousands of Afghans living in the US to obtain green cards and, eventually, naturalized American citizenship. The Afghans in question were resettled across the US by the Biden regime in 2021 as part of a massive resettlement operation.

This resettlement operation imported roughly 100,000 Afghans to American communities in just a few months, without even receiving an interview in person.

John Binder of Breitbart News noted that the resettlement operation has been filed with several cases of vetting failures since it kicked off when Afghans began arriving at Dulles International Airport in 2021. With this influx of Afghan migrants into the US, there’s a very real threat of terroristic activity and other social maladies.

This is to be expected given how Afghanistan has been a hotbed of Islamic fundamentalism and terrorist activity in the last few decades. The more the US opens the migration floodgates to such countries, the more likely that terrorists and other bad actors will slip through the cracks to cause disruptions within the US.

Again, immigration restriction must be used to fully address this problem.
