Senator Bob Menendez’s Career Is Dying As NJ Voters Turn On Him

Have I mentioned that a Democrat is under the first bribery trial of a US Senator in 36 years? Now a majority of New Jersey voters say Bob Menendez doesn’t deserve reelection even before a verdict has been made.

According to a new Quinnipiac University poll:

Menendez’s approval rating is just 31 percent, with 49 percent disapproval. An even 50 percent of registered voters think Menendez, who is on trial for bribery, does not deserve reelection. That number includes 41 percent of Democrats, 61 percent of Republicans and half of independents.

Even if he’s not forced to resign and is not replaced by a Republican via Governor Chris Christie, he also could very well lose his primary race. Has the media even mentioned this? It seems that more than likely, Senator Bob Menendez’s corrupt career is all but over.

Nancy Pelosi Will Run for Speaker Again If Democrats Hold the House

If appointed again, Crazy Nancy would serve as speaker until 2023.

Everyone’s favorite Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, has said she will seek another term as speaker if the Democrats maintain their House majority.

She declared her intention in answering a question from CNN’s Jake Tapper, adding that “we [also] have to win the Senate.”

The USA Today noted that this comes after a challenge by “several members of the Democratic caucus” who represent more conservative constituents and think her speakership is an “impediment to the party’s electoral chances.” Pelosi is also being challenged in the California 12th District race itself by a Pakistani-born “democratic socialist” named Shahid Buttar, whom Pelosi has been doing nothing but ignoring.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also speaking with Jake Tapper, said she would support “the most progressive candidate” for speaker.

“I am committed to making sure that we have the most progressive candidate there. But, if Speaker Pelosi is that most progressive candidate, then I will be supporting her,” she said.

Pelosi has served in the US House since 1987 and is currently in her second stint as speaker. Her first speakership lasted from 2007 to 2011. She struck a deal back in late 2018 to limit her current speakership to four years, so we’ll in all likelihood see her in the post until 2023.
