Senior Officials in the Biden Regime Are Worried About Possible Tensions Exploding in the West Bank

Several senior United States officials believe that Israel could potentially open up a new front in its current conflict with Hamas, specifically in the West Bank.
Officials in the Biden regime said to senior Israeli officials recently that the situation in the West Bank is on the brink of getting out of control, and that the Palestinian Authority may see its control of the major Palestinian cities fall out of its grasp.
They believe growing violence in the West Bank would weaken Israel’s legitimacy and international support for continuing to combat terrorist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
In talks with their Israeli counterparts, the American officials raised several concerns about the risk of escalating tensions in the West Bank. One concern they manifested is the PA’s weakness, particularly its financial struggles.
The Biden regime believes the PA might be on the verge of financial collapse, which would render it incapable of paying salaries to its security forces who are currently conducting operations in the West Bank against Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist organizations.
The Biden regime is also worried about the increasing number of incidents in which right-wing Jewish settler groups have been attacking Palestinians on the West Bank.
These incidents have gained international coverage and the Biden regime believes that such attacks boost Hamas and other terrorist organizations in the West Bank.
The primary concern is that members of the Palestinian security forces or Palestinian law enforcement would flip and start carrying out terror attacks themselves. On top of that, the Biden regime has called on Israel to investigate several verbal confrontations between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian police officers in the past few weeks.
The situation in Israel has become fraught to say the least. The Palestinian vs Israeli conflict is existential in nature. Both sides are willing to fight to the death for what they perceive as their ancestral homeland.
Nevertheless, the US should stay out of this conflict as much as possible. Israel is of no concern to the US. In fact, Israel exerts a noxious influence on the US that could potentially undermine its national security interests and even drag into a preventable war in the Middle East. Hopefully cooler heads prevail and prevent the US from descending into another Middle Eastern quagmire.
