SHUTDOWN DAY 20: One Day Away From The All-Time Record

Anticipation is high as President Donald Trump is prepared to tie the all-time record Friday for longest government shutdown, set by Newt Gingrich in 1996.

Nancy Pelosi refused to fund the Wall in her meeting with the president Wednesday, so the shutdown continues. The president’s trip to the border will define his ability to continue to lead the issue as the American people make it past three weeks.

The president does not seem to be under Roger Maris-type stress. He is governing the country effectively, nicely dressing down an ABC reporter in the Oval Office and giving a feisty show-stopping speech at the Capitol.
