Sleepy Joe Gaffes: We Must ‘Keep Alive the Truth And Honor Of The Holocaust’

Are we sure Biden’s gears have been properly oiled? The controversial successor to Donald Trump drew laughter from around the world today, adding yet another flub to his long list of gaffes after he told a crowd in Israel that we must keep alive the “honor of the Holocaust.”

Fox News reported that the embarrassing display occurred Wednesday after Biden arrived in Israel for a two-day visit.

“Later today, I will once more return to the hallowed ground of … Yad Vashem to honor the 6 million Jewish lives that were stolen in a genocide and continue — which we must do every, every day — continue to bear witness, to keep alive the truth and honor of the Holocaust — horror of the Holocaust — honor those we lost, so that we never, ever forget that lesson, you know, and to continue our shared, unending work to fight the poison of anti-Semitism wherever it raises its ugly head,” Biden said.

The White House occupant is in good company — first lady Jill Biden also had a couple of her own silly moments when she spoke at a “Latinx IncluXion Luncheon” earlier this week. It was at the conference when she compared American Latinos with breakfast tacos after butchering the pronunciation of the “bodegas,” instead calling them ‘boh-gah-duhs.’

“The diversity of this community is as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength,” Jill Biden told the group of predominantly Hispanic attendees.

The National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) blasted Jill for the comment, ripping into her for a lack of cultural knowledge.

“NAHJ encourages Dr. Biden and her speech writing team to take the time in the future to better understand the complexities of our people and our communities,” the organization posted online. “Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by various diasporas, cultures & food traditions. Do not reduce us to stereotypes,” they continued. “We are not tacos.”

Joe Biden also drew attention during his Israel visit after he skipped shaking hands with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Yair Lapid — only to do just that with former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just a few moments later.

Many reporters questioned why Biden appears to follow such inconsistent ‘social distancing’ guidelines. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has continued to defend the bizarre behavior, insisting Wednesday that it is solely a function of the administration “taking precautions.”
