Son of 9/11 Victim Demands Biden Stay Away From 20th Anniversary Events

The son of a woman who died in the 9/11 attacks is asking President Joe Biden to stay away from events commemorating the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attack.

“I am demanding that President Biden does not show his face at Ground Zero on 9/11 ,” Nic Haros Jr said in remarks provided on Fox News Monday. “It is now holy ground, and I really don’t think he has a place there.” Haros’ mother Frances was killed in the bombing of the South Tower on September 11, 2001.

Haros pointed to what he saw as Joe Biden’s disrespect of 13 US service members killed in a suicide bombing targeting the Kabul Airport. Biden had become a target of criticism after being caught looking at his watch during proceedings in which the bodies of the deceased arrived at Dover Air Force Base.

“It’s shameful for him, I think, to use the dead bodies as a political prop for his so-called victory lap. He is insensitive, and he shows no compassion to the families,” Haros told Fox News. “No Joe, no victory. We are now in the Afghan War 2.0. Those resurrected victims kept America safe from harm all those years. Biden must not dishonor their grace and patriotism.”

Haros is one of many 9/11 relatives who has demanded the federal government release new classified documents that possibly detail Saudi support of the al-Qaeda hijackers, 15 of whom were Saudi citizens. Biden signed an executive order for the federal government to review classified documents, but it’s unclear what will actually be released.

Biden is planning on visiting Shanksville, Pennsylvania, the site of the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon for 20th anniversary commemoration of 9/11.
