Still No Explanation From NBC On Why It Pulled Clip From Last Week That Contradicted Police Claims About Paul Pelosi Attack

Last week, NBC News aired a scoop about the Paul Pelosi assault that went against the whole corporate media narrative that the attack was from a right-wing “insurrectionist-like” extremist.

The clip was quickly pulled from the outlet’s website. With many wondering what the reasoning for that move was. As no hard details were ever given.

“After a knock and announce, the front door was opened by Mr. Pelosi,” NBC News stated last week. “The 82-year-old did not immediately declare an emergency, or try to leave his home, but instead began walking several feet back into the foyer, toward the assailant, and away from police.”

The NBC News statement was strange because they pointedly contradicted what law enforcement has claimed happened when police arrived at the scene of the attack.

Here’s the account filed in San Francisco County Superior Court by District Attorney Brooke Jenkins:

[M]r. Pelosi opened the door with his left hand. As the door opened, the two men stood in the dimly lit foyer facing the officers. Mr. Pelosi nervously but calmly greeted them. When the officer asked what was going on, Defendant smiled and said, “everything’s good” and pulled his hands toward his body. When an officer turned on his flashlight, Defendant could be seen holding the bottom handle of the hammer with one hand and Mr. Pelosi’s right arm with the other.

NBC News pulled its report, and still has not provided reasoning why.

NBC News on Friday pulled a report about the attack on Paul Pelosi that the network said did not meet its standards.

“The piece should not have aired because it did not meet NBC News reporting standards,” an editor’s note said in place of the story online after it aired Friday on its highly-rated “Today” show.

There are many questions regarding why this contradicting report was pulled. With various corporate media critics leaning towards the idea that this news did not meet the network’s standards meaning, in other words, it went against the narrative Americans are supposed to believe.

Especially ahead of 2022 midterms.

A network source told CNN it pulled the segment after the source of the report’s information was found to be unreliable.

“The decision was made to remove the segment after it was determined, shortly after it aired, that the main source for the information was unreliable regarding the question of the circumstances that the police encountered when they arrived at the house, specifically what the police saw and how far the attacker was from the door,” the source said.

Of course, there are still many, many questions. 

Nothing has been cleared up, and many Americans feel as though NBC News is just hoping the public forgets these statements were even mentioned.

The network still hasn’t provided any real reasons for why it pulled these incredibly important details about the event.

At this point, it’s unlikely they ever will.
