Tens of Thousands of Truck Drivers #StopTheTires on Veteran’s Day, Demanding Respect for Blue Collar Americans

Tens of thousands of American truck drivers halted their work on Veteran’s Day, demanding that the nation’s truckers and blue collar workers be respected in what they’re terming the “Stop the Tires” movement.
The original Stop the Tires Facebook group has collected more than 60,000 members in just a few days, before facing left-wing censorship from Facebook oligarch Mark Zuckerberg.
The organizer of the #StopTheTires movement, truck driver Jeremy Rewoldt, has described the impromptu movement as an act of protest against Joe Biden’s plans to eliminate the use of fracking in America. He also cited pervasive crime tolerated in left-wing Democrat cities as a threat to the nation’s truckers.
The truckers standing behind the movement halted from transporting goods for 24 hours on Veteran’s Day. The trucking industry is one of the most common employers of American veterans. Truckers also trend conservative, with a majority of the essential workers supporting Donald Trump.
Rewoldt spoke of the origins of his #StopTheTires movement in an interview with One America News Network on Thursday.

“You close down the restaurants that we eat at … then you close down our rest stops. Now in Wyoming they’re talking about not even plowing the highways this winter because they can’t afford it,” said one #StopTheTires supporter.
“And to top it all off, 70 million of you guys voted against the trucking industry, against first responders, against oil and gas – we ain’t gonna forget this shit. You already have, but we won’t.”

Some truckers who shut down did so in collective fashion at coordinated locations. Many truckers stopped their vehicles on the Maryland/Delaware border, an essential transport hub in supplying food, goods and services to residents of the eastern coast of the United States.
The truckers plan to continue their protest later this month, halting the transport of nonessential goods for four full days from 11/26 to 11/29.
