The New Yorker Fires Disgraced Zoom Call Masturbator Jeffrey Toobin

Jeffrey Toobin is known for his New Yorker writing and CNN commentating.

Jeffrey Toobin is much better known as that guy who masturbated on a Zoom call back in mid-October.

Upon conclusion of an investigation, The New Yorker has decided to fire Toobin. CNN had previously suspended him from any on air appearances.

Toobin tweeted Wednesday evening: “I was fired today by @NewYorker after 27 years as a Staff Writer. I will always love the magazine, will miss my colleagues, and will look forward to reading their work.”

The Daily Beast obtained a memo written by Condé Nast chief people officer Stan Duncan. It reads: “I am writing to share with you that our investigation regarding Jeffrey Toobin is complete, and as a result, he is no longer affiliated with our company. I want to assure everyone that we take workplace matters seriously. We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels respected and upholds our standards of conduct.”
