Trans Health Group Recommends Kids Start ‘Gender Transition’ At 14 Years Old
According to documents obtained by the Associated Press, a leading transgender health association will be lowering the recommended minimum age to begin the gender transition process to just 14 years of age.
This means teens will be recommended hormones when they are 14, followed by gender transition surgeries starting at age 15. Thus lowering the current age recommendation by one year. Notably, the administering of these estrogen and testosterone sex hormones are lifelong treatments.
Breast removal for biological females will be suggested at the age of 15, and genital surgeries for both men and women will be suggested at age of 17. The organization will continue to recommend puberty blockers to girls who are between 8 and 13 years old, and boys between 10 and 15.
The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) has decided to lower its recommendation because it argues that it is “unethical and harmful to withhold early treatment.” Despite the group acknowledging the potential risks of these surgeries.
“Certainly there are adolescents that do not have the emotional or cognitive maturity to make an informed decision,” Dr. Coleman WPATH’s chairman of standards of care said. “That is why we recommend a careful multidisciplinary assessment.”
This announcement comes at a time when the rhetoric surrounding trans kids is increasing from organizations such as WPATH and the White House.
For example, President Biden has been vocal about “advancing LGBTQI+ equality,” while simultaneously blasting Republicans for allegedly “bullying” LGBT minors. Despite there only being 8% of children in Western countries who identify as “trans.”
Of course, it’s not clear what “discriminatory attacks” the President is referring to. Nor is it understood what “extreme MAGA laws and policies” are responsible for this alleged attack on LGBT children and the high suicide rate amongst the community.
In another example of how this movement has expanded and ventured into mainstream conversation, Fox News shocked its viewers last week after it aired a puff piece about gender transitions for children. The segment featured a child named Ryland Whittington who was socially transitioned as a boy at just age five by her parents.
This segment sparked the network’s Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingram to double down against the “trans kids contagion” plaguing the nation.
“It does nobody any help to lie about this, and the media has participated in non-stop whitewashing of this issue, as if all that happens to children — as long as they have good parents who love them — you just sprinkle magic pixie dust and they just go from girl to boy,” guest Abigail Shrier, author of the best-selling book, “Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters,” told Carlson Monday evening.
“In fact, what you’re setting them up for is a lifetime of infertility, sexual dysfunction, and surgery after surgery, many of which fail,” Shrier continued. “And the last thing I’m going to do is lie to the American public about that.”
“Amen,” Carlson responded.
