Trump Has Historically High Approval Rating Among Republicans

President Donald Trump has an historically high approval rating among Republicans at this point in his presidency.
In fact, only George W. Bush after 9/11 had a higher approval rating among members of his own party at the 500-day mark in his presidency.
Trump’s 87 percent approval rating among Republicans in the Gallup poll puts him ten points higher than Ronald Reagan at this point in his presidency, and makes it unlikely that the Bill Kristol-supported effort to try to challenge Trump in the 2020 primary will gain any steam:
