Twitter Founder Promotes Activist Gun Control Proposal

Following the Tuesday shooting at YouTube headquarters, the founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, publicly promoted the anti-gun March for Our Lives Movement in response to a Tweet from President Donald J. Trump. The President responded to the shooting with the following Tweet:

Jack linked to the “How We Save Lives” section of the March for Our Lives website. That page lays out the demands of the anti-gun movement. The five demands listed on the page are:

1. Allowing the CDC to use taxpayer funds to compile research into gun violence, and advocate for solutions to those problems, including gun control.
2. Allowing the ATF to digitize gun purchase records, essentially creating a gun owner database.
3. A ban on private gun sales through “universal background checks.”
4. A ban on gun magazines holding over ten rounds.
5. An “assault weapons” ban.

These were the demands laid out at the “March for Our Lives” in Washington, D.C. last month. In response to the shooting at YouTube’s headquarters, we will likely see other tech giants following in the steps of Twitter’s founder by mirroring demands for gun control.
