Twitter Restores David Horowitz’s Account After Massive Backlash

David Horowits Restored Twitter

Twitter banned and later reinstated David Horowitz’s account today after prominent conservatives, including Donald Trump Jr., slammed the big tech platform for its apparent censorship.

With no explanation, Twitter banned and reinstated the account of acclaimed conservative author and intellectual David Horowitz on Tuesday. He was banned at roughly 6 p.m., and then restored by 7:30 p.m.

Trump Jr. declared that this move meant that “@Jack & @Twitter aren’t even attempting to hide their hatred for conservatives anymore,” and rhetorically asked for the identity of the last high-profile leftist banned by social media.

Big League Politics was one of the first conservative media outlets to report the high profile ban earlier today.

Big League Politics reported:

David Horowitz, the 80-year-old conservative writer and founder of the Dave Horrowitz Freedom Center, was banned from Twitter this evening with no explanation from the big tech platform.

Twitter has been in the midst of a purge over the past 24 hours, banning multiple parody accounts and an account that chronicled instances of violence against supporters of President Donald J. Trump last night.

Tonight they continued their censorship spree by banning Horowitz, who is widely respected as an intellectual on both sides of the aisle.

Horowitz is a conservative writer and commentator who has written dozens of books, including “Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America”, “Progressive Racism”, and “The Big Agenda: President Trump’s Plan to Save America”.

While Horowitz’s account was restored, it appears his Twitter follower count was not. Horowitz went from over 60,000 followers to less than 1,000. It is not known if Twitter will restore these followers through the rest of the night.

Big League Politics asked Twitter for comment on this article and did not receive a response in time for publication.
