U.S. Army Gives Defense Contractor Raytheon $1.2 Billion Contract to Build Air Defense Systems in Ukraine
Military defense contractor Raytheon is receiving a $1.2 billion payout to construct air defense systems in Ukraine, with the bill being footed by the U.S. taxpayer.
The U.S. Army is paying Raytheon to construct six National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) for Ukraine. The appropriations for these NASAMS comes out of the fifth giant welfare package sent to Ukraine that was approved by the U.S. Congress. It will likely take up to two years to deliver the systems, but Raytheon is convinced that NASAMS will arrive in Ukraine much more quickly.
“Just because it takes 24 months to build, it doesn’t mean it’s going to take 24 months to get in country,” Raytheon CEO Greg Hayes said.
Hayes floated the idea of NASAMS being diverted from Middle Eastern battlefields where they are used against Islamic extremist terrorists who hate America, potentially harming U.S. national security interests, in order to fuel the ongoing proxy war against Russia in Ukraine.
“There are NASAMS deployed across the Middle East, and some of our NATO allies and we [the US] are actually working with a couple of Middle Eastern countries that currently employ NASAMS and trying to direct those back up to Ukraine,” he said.
Big League Politics has reported on how the globalists are running out of arms and putting their own countries in danger in the mad rush to fuel endless war in Ukraine:
“NATO is running out of weapons to send to Ukraine as 20 of the 30 member countries have completely depleted themselves while fighting a proxy war against Russia.
“In Ukraine, the kind of European war thought inconceivable is chewing up the modest stockpiles of artillery, ammunition and air defenses of what some in NATO call Europe’s “bonsai armies,” after the tiny Japanese trees. Even the mighty United States has only limited stocks of the weapons the Ukrainians want and need, and Washington is unwilling to divert key weapons from delicate regions like Taiwan and Korea, where China and North Korea are constantly testing the limits,” the New York Times reported.
“The amount of artillery being used is staggering, NATO officials say. In Afghanistan, NATO forces might have fired even 300 artillery rounds a day and had no real worries about air defense. But Ukraine can fire thousands of rounds daily and remains desperate for air defense against Russian missiles and Iranian-made drones,” they added.
The West is now poorer and less safe as a result of their intervention into Russia, as Russian energy profits soar to record highs. Still, stubborn Western countries refuse to back down.”
The foreign policy pursued by the U.S. and other Western globalist nations is mass insanity and risks World War 3. However, multinational corporate defense contractors are laughing all the way to the bank as usual, and that’s what matters to political elites.
