U.S. Army Issues Handouts Depicting ‘Make America Great Again’ Slogan as ‘Covert White Supremacy’
The U.S. Army is backtracking after giving propaganda calling President Donald Trump’s iconic Make America Great Again slogan an act of “covert white supremacy,” with blatant liberal propaganda being distributed to military personnel.
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-GA) sounded the alarm about these actions from the U.S. Army that he claims are a “violation of the Hatch Act.”
“U.S. Army personnel have violated the Hatch Act and any number of military regulations by distributing materials that, among other offensive things, labels president Donald Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ slogan or ‘Celebration of Columbus Day’ as white supremacist. The Hatch Act prohibits federal government executive branch employees from engaging in defined, banned political activity,” Brooks said.
“ALL U.S. Army civilian and uniformed personnel who drafted, approved or sent this racist and politically partisan email, using government resources, should be prosecuted for their Hatch Act violations and summarily fired for blatantly and illegally injecting themselves into partisan political activities on government time using federal taxpayer money,” he added.
The U.S. Army is calling what happened a mistake and claim an investigation is at hand to find who exactly was responsible.
Cynthia O. Smith, an Army spokeswoman, said that “as soon as Department of the Army leaders were made aware of these products the Army initiated a 15-6 investigation to determine how this happened. The Army does not condone the use of phrases that indicate political support. The Army is and will continue to remain an apolitical organization.”
Brooks is demanding heads to roll in order to set an example that this type of behavior is unacceptable.
“The U.S. Army is not the place for political indoctrination or reeducation experimentation. These vile violators of the Hatch Act should be made an example as a stern warning to other federal employees that no one is above the law when it comes to illegally using federal government resources to promote racial division and advance a partisan political agenda,” Brooks said.
However, it is very unlikely that heads will roll because the orders are coming from the top. Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy has started Project Inclusion specifically to inject social justice dogma into the armed forces.
The stated goal of the project is to “improve diversity, equity and inclusion across the force and build cohesive teams” with a “holistic effort [to] include a series of worldwide listening sessions with Soldiers and civilians, an examination of possible racial disparity in military justice cases, and the removal of photos from officer promotion boards beginning August 2020.”
It is not just the U.S. Army that has gone woke, as Big League Politics has reported on how the Marine Corps have classified promoting feminism and transgenderism as their top priorities:
Commandant Gen. David Berger, who is effectively the leader of the Marines, outlined priorities that he believes are the “most important matters for immediate execution” for arguably the most important branch of the U.S. Military.
Among them are catering to transgender personnel and giving more rights to same-sex couples.
Berger wrote in a series of tweets that the Corps must “revise the current parental leave policy to include parental leave for adoptive parents, to include same-sex couples.”
He also wrote that the Marines must “determine feasibility of identifying and recruiting for return-to-active-duty selected female Marines currently in the SMCR and IRR, with a focus on previously gender-restricted units and job specialties.”
Berger did not explain how feminist hiring mandates or catering to gay couples would actually make the Military a stronger or more formidable fighting force, but those goals are clearly now secondary in the age of political correctness.
The Marine Corps Times notes that there is already no difference in how same-sex couples are treated versus regular couples pertaining to military policy.
Maj. Craig Thomas, who works as a spokesman for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, said that the parental leave policy was updated in 2018. He told the Marine Corps Times that it “does not specifically use the terms ‘same-sex couples’, rather it incorporates gender neutral terms to ensure no Marine who rates parental leave is excluded.”
It appears that one of Berger’s top priorities for the Marines is just a platitudinous virtue signal to same-sex couples that does not even accomplish anything other than to codify support for the LGBT agenda into official military policy.
It is clear that the military has become a tool of the left-wing cultural revolution that is transforming the U.S. The free-fall collapse of the West appears to be at hand.
