Under Budget Bill, Trump Must Beg Leftist Local Officials To Approve Every Inch of ‘Wall’

In case you missed parts one and two of how horrendous the proposed budget bill is, part three will surely be convincing. Under the bill, Trump will cede wall-building authority from himself and Congress, and hand it over to local officials where he wants to build the wall.

“Section 232(a) of this bill states that ‘prior to use of any funds made available by this Act for the construction of physical barriers’ the Department of Homeland Security ‘shall confer and seek to reach mutual agreement regarding the design and alignment of physical barriers within that city,'” according to Conservative Review

Okay. But what if those local leaders really want to build the wall? This shouldn’t be a problem, right? Wrong. The bill “limits the president’s ability to construct ‘barriers’ to just the Rio Grande Valley sector and only bollard fencing, not concrete walls of any kind,” according to the report.

The Rio Grande valley – thanks to open borders and mass migration – is perhaps the most leftist region on the entire border. Any requests to build border fencing (notice that we’re not talking about building concrete wall, here – that’s outlawed by the bill, too) will almost certainly be spiked by local city and county officials.

There is no other way to put this. The budget that is currently in the hands of Congress is a complete mess. It is the opposite of the America First agenda pushed by Trump.
