United States Government Announces Additional $600 Million Arms Package to Ukraine

The Biden regime recently greenlit an additional $600 million arms package for Ukraine. According to Press TV, the United States government’s move was met with sharp condemnation from the Russian government. The authorities in Russia warned that continued military aid to Ukraine will only worsen the Russo-Ukrainian conflict.

Per a White House memo that the US State Department received on September 15, 2022, this injection of military aid features High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), claymore mines, mine clearing equipment, night vision goggles, 105mm artillery rounds, and 155mm precision-guided artillery rounds.

“To meet Ukraine’s evolving battlefield requirements, the United States will continue to work with its Allies and partners to provide Ukraine with key capabilities,” the Defense Department stated.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed that the military aid being sent to Ukraine was “carefully calibrated to make the most difference on the battlefield and strengthen Ukraine‘s hand at the negotiating table when the time is right”.

Since the launch of Russia’s military incursion into Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the Biden regime has sent Ukraine roughly $15.8 billion in military aid.

Back in March, the US Congress gave the green light to a $13.6 billion military aid package for Ukraine. In May, the DC uniparty tripled that funding by voting for an additional $40 billion package.

Russian authorities have been very critical of the deluge of Western weapons heading to Ukraine. They’ve warned that this proxy campaign against Russia will only prolong the conflict and heighten the probabilities of a direct conflict between NATO and Russia.

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen paid a visit to Kiev on September 15 to reiterate the supranational entity’s commitment to Ukraine in its fight against Russia. She proclaimed that Ukraine can count on Europe’s support for “as long as it takes.”

“We will never be able to match the sacrifice that the Ukrainians are making,” Von der Leyen said to reporters at a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“But what we can tell you is that you’ll have your European friends by your side as long as it takes.”

When she was asked about whether the EU will provide more military assistance to Ukraine, Von der Leyen said it was necessary that Ukraine “gets all the military capability it needs to defend itself,” without providing additional details.

Von der Leyen argued that supporting Ukraine “comes at a high cost, but our freedom, the international peace order, and democracy is priceless.”

For its part, Russia warned on September 15 that if the Collective West, specifically the US, provides Ukraine with longer-range missiles, it would cross a “red line” and become “a party to the conflict.”

It looks like the Collective West is not pulling back from the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. It will continue stoking tensions, costs be damned — rising energy costs, economic collapse, social unrest, etc.

It will take a positive regime change, i.e. the election of right-wing nationalist parties, for Western foreign policy to change for the better.
